Real game studio names fall into a few clear buckets. There are the two-word nature-and-object compounds that dominate the indie scene (Supergiant, Moon Studios, Thunder Lotus, Hollow Ponds), single invented words that feel like a brand (Bungie, Ubisoft, Remedy, Housemarque), plainly self-deprecating in-jokes (Coffee Stain, Two Point, Toys for Bob, Sloclap), and animal or creature names with a twist (Ninja Kiwi, Team Cherry, Klei, Frictional). Almost none of them lean on the word "Gaming" or superlatives like Elite and Ultimate, because those read as generic and are impossible to trademark.

A good studio name has three practical qualities. It is short enough to fit on a splash screen and a Steam developer line, so two to three syllables per word and no more than three words. It is spellable after being heard once on a podcast, which is why "Motion Twin" beats anything with a deliberate misspelling. And it leaves room to grow, so a name that ties you to one genre or platform (Mobile Puzzle Labs) becomes a problem when your second game is a roguelike. The suffix is optional: Games, Studios, Interactive, Works, Software and Labs are all in use, and many studios drop it entirely once the brand is known.

The names here are written to sound like they already exist on a store page. Pick a few, then check trademarks, the domain, and whether a studio with a similar name already ships in your genre before you print the logo.
