Alligator Name Generator

Alligator names pull from a handful of reliable sources. The most famous real and fictional gators set the tone — Albert and Alberta (the Florida mascots), Wally Gator, Louis the jazz-playing gator from The Princess and the Frog, Lyle the crocodile, Tick-Tock from Peter Pan, Muja the record-old zoo alligator — and a lot of owners simply go with Ally, Gator, Snappy or Chomp. The third is sheer armoured bulk: Tank, Dozer, Bruiser, Goliath, Sherman and Panzer for a big bull gator, with a side of prehistoric names like Rex, Fossil and Deinosuchus, since alligators have barely changed in millions of years. This list mixes all of those with drawling old-man names (Bubba, Cletus, Earl, Otis), Southern belle names for females (Dixie, Daisy Mae, Magnolia), mythic monsters for villains, and a few crocodile cousins like Sobek, Gustave and Feraligatr for fans.
