A toxic name is a gamertag that talks before you do. The best ones are short, readable on a killfeed and aimed at a specific sore spot: the skill gap (SkillIssue, GitGudKid, JustDiff), the rank (BronzeBully, HardstuckHero, SmurfInBronze), the teammate (BlamesTheLag, MicSpamMike, ThrowerTom) or the post-match chat (CryAboutIt, RatioPlusL, CopeHarder). This list stays on the playful side of toxic: trash talk about aim, rank and crying, never slurs or attacks on who someone is. Most platforms enforce that line too, so a name that mocks your opponent's KD survives moderation while a name that mocks a person does not.
