Tattoo Parlor Name Generator

The word 'parlor' itself sets the tone. Tattoo parlors are the walk-in, neon-sign, flash-on-the-walls shops of American tattoo history, from the Bowery in New York and Sailor Jerry's Hotel Street in Honolulu to Bert Grimm's on the Pike in Long Beach. Names from that era read like dive bars and boxing gyms: Electric Tattoo, Old Glory, Lucky Thirteen, Sailor's Grave, Iron Horse. Modern parlors keep the flavor while dropping the grime, so today's Black Cat Tattoo or Ghost Town Tattoo feels vintage without feeling dated.

The imagery comes straight from classic flash sheets: swallows, anchors, daggers, hearts, panthers, tigers, eight balls, dice, and pinup girls. Sailor and Navy slang (Hold Fast, Shore Leave, Anchors Aweigh, Homeward Bound) is a second deep well. A third is bad-luck-and-bravado phrases like Born to Lose, Hard Luck, and Widowmaker. Most parlor names take one of these images or phrases and add 'Tattoo' or 'Tattoo Parlor' after it.

Good parlor names are two or three words, sound right shouted across a bar, and would look correct in a hand-painted or neon script. If you're naming a real shop, prefer names that also work without the word Parlor, since many customers will just say 'I got it at Lucky Thirteen'. If you're writing fiction, the more specific the flash motif, the more real the shop feels.
