Superhero School Name Generator

Superhero schools come in a few recognisable flavours, and the name tells you which one you are entering. The oldest is the founder's school with a polite euphemism attached: Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters and the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning never say "mutant" on the sign, and the same trick works for original schools (Everhart School for Gifted Youngsters, Carrow Institute for Enhanced Youth). The second is the plain civic hero high, such as Sky High or U.A. High, where heroics is just another subject and the name reads like any public school with "Hero" in front. My Hero Academia added the Japanese register of prefectural and private hero academies, which sound right when they use a real place name or a two-kanji style coinage (Shiketsu, Ketsubutsu, Seiai).

Beyond those, training programs borrow military and government language (Project Sentinel Youth Program, Division Seven Hero School), elite institutions borrow Latin and classical references (Invictus Academy, Hyperion Hero Prep), and stately boarding schools need nothing more than a house name and a hall (Thornwick Hall, Greystone Manor). Villain schools invert the formula with Malice, Doom or Sinister in place of Valor.

Pick the register that fits your setting, then decide what students call it for short, since everyone at a school for gifted youngsters just says "the Institute".
