Skincare brand names have shifted hard in the last decade. The old model was aspirational and vague (Radiant Glow Beauty); the brands that broke through since then are named like lab notebooks and grocery lists: The Ordinary, The Inkey List, Paula's Choice, CeraVe, La Roche-Posay, Drunk Elephant, Glow Recipe, Youth to the People, Byoma, Bubble. Four styles dominate. Clinical minimalism uses ingredient or science words (Barrier, Ceramide Co, Formulary No. 7). Botanical and clean-beauty brands name plants and kitchen ingredients (Rosehip & Co, Oat Skin, Petal & Root). Dermatologist-style brands borrow medical cues (Rx Skin, MD Skin, Doctor's Formula). Gen Z labels are short, friendly, and slightly odd (Dewly, Skinfolk, Face Facts).

A good skincare brand name is easy to say in a TikTok video, fits on a small amber bottle, and gives you room to launch cleansers, serums, SPF, and body care under one umbrella. It should also be honest: naming a brand after an active ingredient means every product needs to feature it, and medical-sounding names may attract regulatory scrutiny in some countries if you're not a clinic.

The list below deliberately avoids generic beauty-speak and instead gives you names that would sit comfortably on a Sephora shelf, a dermatologist's counter, or a farmer's-market table.
