One Piece Crew Name Generator

Almost every pirate crew in One Piece is named the same way: the captain's epithet or nickname, followed by "Pirates." Luffy is "Straw Hat" Luffy, so his crew is the Straw Hat Pirates. Shanks is "Red-Haired," hence the Red Hair Pirates; Teach is Blackbeard, so the Blackbeard Pirates. Big Mom, Whitebeard, Buggy, Arlong, Krieg, and Alvida all follow the rule. Because of this, choosing a crew name really means choosing what the world calls your captain — a physical trait (Straw Hat, Red Hair, Long Nose), a weapon, an animal, or a reputation.

The exceptions are just as useful. Some crews are named for a symbol or theme instead of a person: the Heart Pirates (Law's Jolly Roger and his Devil Fruit), the Beast Pirates (Kaido's Zoan army), the Fire Tank Pirates (Bege's castle body), the Fallen Monk Pirates (Urouge), the Black Cat Pirates (Kuro's ship), the Sun Pirates (Fisher Tiger's mark of freedom), and the Kuja Pirates (the Amazon Lily tribe). Larger organizations use Fleet, Armada, Alliance, or Grand Fleet, and non-pirate factions like the Marines, Cipher Pol, and the Revolutionary Army have institutional names.

The list above keeps the canon crews as reference, then adds original crews built the same way: epithet + Pirates, symbol + Pirates, Grand Line themed crews, and a handful of Marine and Government units for the other side of the war. Pair one with a ship name and a Jolly Roger and your OC crew will look at home on a wanted poster.
