Minecraft City Name Generator

A Minecraft city name usually does one of three jobs. On a survival server it tells players what the place is for (Spawn City, Nether Hub Central, Market Square, Trade City), so the name is short, literal and easy to type in chat. On a building project it sets the theme, and the best names borrow the game's own vocabulary: block names (Prismarine City, Deepslate Hollow, Quartzholm), biomes (Basaltmouth, Cherry Blossom City, Jagged Peaks Hold) and structures (Stronghold City, Bastion Crossing, Woodland Mansion District). On a roleplay or lore server, cities get the kind of names a real fantasy capital would carry, like Aldermere, Highcastle, Ravenholm or Westmarch, with no block references at all.

The classic English place-name endings do a lot of work here. -holm, -haven, -gate, -hold, -mere, -reach, -spire and -port all read as cities rather than villages, and they combine naturally with Minecraft words: Blockhaven, Lapisgate, Ironhold, Frostmere, Dragonreach, Obsidian Spire, Spruceport. Adding City, Heights, Harbor or Metropolis to a biome or mob name gives the sillier, server-friendly style (Creeper Crossing, Piglin Bazaar, Axolotl Springs).

The list moves from block and biome names through medieval and fantasy capitals, Nether, End and ocean settlements, then server hubs, themed districts and modern skylines.
