Khajit Name Generator

Khajit is the common misspelling of Khajiit, the feline race of Elsweyr in The Elder Scrolls. Whichever way you spell it, the naming rules are the same. A Khajiit name is usually a personal name from the Ta'agra tongue, often preceded by an honorific and an apostrophe: J' or Ji' for a young man (J'zargo), Ma' or M' for a child or apprentice (Ma'dran, M'aiq), Ra' or Ri' for a leader (Ri'saad), Dro' for an elder (Dro'marash), S' for a plain adult (S'krivva), Dar' for a thief, Do' for a warrior, Daro' for the quick-witted and La' for an unmarried woman. Suffix forms like -dar, -do, -ko and -dra carry the same meanings when placed after the name.

The personal names carry a desert, Arabic-and-Persian-inspired sound with lots of soft sh, zh, kh and open a and i vowels: Ahkari, Zaynabi, Atahbah, Kharjo, Tsavani. Skyrim's caravan Khajiit show that plain names with no honorific are perfectly common, and a few Khajiit go by bynames such as Sugar-Lips Habasi or Kesh the Clean.

Because Khajiit speak of themselves in the third person ("Khajiit has wares"), a name that rolls off the tongue is worth more than an elaborate one. The list mixes canon Skyrim, Oblivion, Morrowind and ESO characters with new names that follow the same patterns.
