Hutt Name Generator

Hutt names in Star Wars have three parts, though most people only ever hear the first. Jabba's full name is Jabba Desilijic Tiure: a personal name (Jabba), the kajidic or clan name (Desilijic), and a lineage or family name (Tiure). Ziro Desilijic Tiure and Rotta Desilijic Tiure share Jabba's clan and family; Gardulla Besadii the Elder and Durga Besadii Tai belong to the rival Besadii kajidic. Casual speech and Imperial reports drop everything after the personal name and add the species as an honorific, which is why the galaxy knows them as Jabba the Hutt or Gardulla the Hutt.

The personal names themselves are short, guttural, and thick with doubled consonants: Jabba, Ziro, Gorga, Grakkus, Bokku, Toborro, Oruba, Vogga. Two syllables is standard, and the sounds lean on b, g, k, z, and long vowels, evoking something heavy and wet. Hutts are hermaphroditic and choose a gender presentation, so names are not strictly gendered, though those presenting as female (Gardulla, Mama, Groola) often end in -a. Nal Hutta's kajidics are what matter for status; Desilijic, Besadii, Anjiliac, Gorensla, Vosadii, and Qunaalac are the ones most often named in the lore.

Use the full three-part name for a Hutt introducing itself in council, the 'the Hutt' form for underlings and bounty postings, and a bare personal name for a Huttlet or a low-status gangster who has not earned clan recognition.
