Earthen Name Generator

Earthen are the titan-forged ancestors of the dwarves, shaped from stone by Keeper Archaedas and rediscovered as a playable allied race in The War Within. Their names sit close to Bronzebeard and Wildhammer dwarves but feel older and more deliberate. Blizzard's named Earthen, such as Baelgrim, Merrix, Adelgonn, Brinthe and Kuldrun, show the pattern: hard stops (B, D, G, K, Th), a growled r, and endings in -grim, -rik, -un or -ix, the last giving a faint titan-construct flavour.

Many Earthen use only a single name, because their identity is tied to their edict, the task they were made for, rather than a family. When a surname appears it usually describes that purpose or the stone they work: Stonebinder, Oathhammer, Gearmind, Deepcore. The four Earthen factions suggest flavour too. Oathsworn names sound formal and ceremonial, Machine Speakers borrow from gears and pistons, Stormriders reach for wind and thunder, and the Unbound take epithets that mark a life outside the edicts, like Magdrun the Unbound or Thovrim Halfface.

When you name an Earthen character, pick a short, heavy given name you can say with a clipped, literal tone, then add a surname or epithet only if it says something about their edict. Avoid ale and beard jokes; these are dwarves who have never brewed anything.
