Dwemer Name Generator

The Dwemer, or Deep Elves, vanished from Tamriel in a single instant, so almost everything we know about their names comes from the handful of individuals recorded in lore (Kagrenac, Dumac, Yagrum Bagarn, Bthuand Mzahnch, Radac Stungnthumz, Ihlendam) and from the hundreds of ruins scattered across Skyrim, Morrowind and Hammerfell. Their language, Dwemeris, is famous for dense consonant clusters that look unpronounceable on the page: Nchuand-Zel, Mzinchaleft, Bthardamz, Irkngthand.

A few patterns hold. Personal names tend to be slightly softer than place names and often end in -ac, -ar, -am or -um (Kagrenac, Dumac, Ihlendam, Yagrum). Where a second name appears it works like a clan or lineage name and follows the harsher ruin style (Stungnthumz, Mzahnch). Ruin names are built from a small set of recurring roots such as bth-, mz-, nch-, rk-, kagr-, alft, -zel, -eft, -thumz and -damz, which is why Mzulft, Mzark and Mzuleft feel related. Hyphenated names like Bamz-Amschend and Nchuand-Zel are usually compound descriptors of the site.

The list below keeps every canonical name and adds new ones assembled from those same roots, so a Dwemer scholar, a lost tonal architect in your fanfic, or a fresh ruin for a modded Skyrim quest will sit naturally beside Alftand and Kagrenzel.
