Dark Jedi Name Generator

A Dark Jedi is a Force user who fell from the Jedi path without joining the Sith, and that distinction shapes the name. Sith take a Darth title; Dark Jedi usually keep their birth name. Asajj Ventress, Barriss Offee, Pong Krell, Xanatos, Jerec and Galen Marek sound like ordinary Star Wars names because they were ordinary Jedi. The menace comes from the story, not a Latin dread-word. The exceptions are characters renamed by a dark master: the Empire's Inquisitors trade their names for ordinals like Second Sister and Fifth Brother, Starkiller was a code name, and the Knights of Ren take the name Ren.

For an original Dark Jedi, start with a normal galactic name. Star Wars humans use short given names of one or two syllables (Kyle, Mara, Kanan, Trilla) and surnames with hard stops and open vowels (Katarn, Jade, Jarrus, Suduri); alien and near-human characters lean on apostrophes and doubled letters, as in Sev'rance Tann or Ap'lek. Then add how they are known after the fall: an Inquisitor rank, an epithet like the Butcher of Kashyyyk, or the planet of their exile.

This list mixes canon and Legends Dark Jedi with original names in the same register, plus Inquisitor, acolyte and epithet styles for the Old Republic, Clone Wars, Imperial and New Republic eras.
