Breton Name Generator

Bretons are the half-elven humans of High Rock, and their names follow the province's culture: feudal, courtly and heavily French in flavor with an English undertone. Canon Bretons across Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim and ESO carry given names like Alain, Gaston, Lucien, Reynard, Adrienne, Isabeau, Marguerite and Sylvie. Surnames are the giveaway. Some are straightforwardly French (Guimard, Lavergne, Duchamp), some are English-looking estate names (Ashcroft, Hawkcroft, Montrose), and many are Bethesda's invented blends with a French rhythm but no real-world match, such as Mottierre, Gaerard, Branck or Derre.

That mix is what this generator reproduces. Every entry is a full first-and-last name because Bretons almost always have both; a lone given name reads more like a Nord or a Redguard. Female names lean on soft -ette, -ine, -elle and -ie endings (Colette, Josephine, Lisette, Nicolette), while male names often end in a hard consonant or a clipped -ard, -ien or -ric (Bernard, Sebastien, Alaric). A handful use real Breton-language names from Brittany (Erwan, Nolwenn, Tanguy, Rozenn) for players who want the Celtic edge that High Rock's Reach borders suggest.

For ESO, remember the character name field allows spaces, so full names fit. For Skyrim, the name is yours to enter freely.
