Biker Road Name Generator

A road name is the nickname a rider is known by inside a motorcycle club, and in most clubs it is given, not chosen. It usually gets pinned on a prospect after something happens: he lays the bike down at a stoplight and becomes Skids, he shows up to every run in surgical scrubs and becomes Doc, he is six-foot-five and, with classic biker irony, becomes Tiny. Real road names tend to be one or two syllables, easy to shout over an engine, and a little bit embarrassing, because a name you would pick for yourself is exactly the kind a club will never give you.

The common sources are the rider's day job (Wrench, Preacher, Sarge, Roofer), physical looks (Grizz, Slim, Red, Patches), the machine they ride (Panhead, Shovel, Two-Stroke, Chopper), a memorable crash or drunk night (Crash, Roadrash, Blackout, Wrong Way), an animal that fits their temperament (Mad Dog, Possum, Rooster), or where they came from (Tex, Cajun, Motor City). Some are ironic, some are honorific, and a few, like Reaper or Undertaker, are earned in ways nobody explains.
