Badass names are mostly about sound. Say Jax Steele, Raven Cross, or Dutch Kowalski out loud and you hear what they share: a short first name that stops hard on a consonant (Jax, Knox, Colt, Rook) and a surname with a blunt stressed syllable or a word that already means something tough – Steel, Stone, Graves, Thorne, Voss.
