Genre clubs do best with a name that signals the genre: Spellcheck Coven for fantasy, Red Herring Society for mystery, Slow Burn Society for romance, Fade In for screenwriters.

Finally, consider when and where you meet. Tuesday Typists, Coffee and Commas, Porch Light Poets and The Kitchen Table Writers are plain, warm and easy to remember, which matters more than cleverness once you are printing it on a flyer or naming a shared folder.
