Magazine names have to work as a masthead — one word or a short phrase set large across the top of a cover — so most successful titles are short, concrete and slightly unexpected. When you choose, set the name in a bold serif and a clean sans and see whether it still reads at a glance. Then check the domain, the Substack or Ghost URL and the trademark register; magazine titles are widely protected.
