A Terraria world name is one of the few things the game asks you to type before you play, and it sticks around forever in the world select screen, on server browsers and in every screenshot of your base. Most players either go for a place name that sounds like it belongs on a fantasy map (Crimson Reach, Frostbite Hollow, Terraheim) or a joke that captures the mood of that particular save (Fell in Lava Again, Please Don't Blood Moon).

The game's own vocabulary is the richest source. Terraria's biomes (Corruption, Crimson, Hallow, Glowing Mushroom, Aether), its evil-biome materials (Ebonwood, Shadewood, Ichor, Cursed Flames), its bosses and its NPCs all make natural place names when you attach a landform word: Reach, Hollow, Vale, Bluff, Basin, Cove or Depths. Secret seeds are another popular hook, and names that reference For the Worthy, Not the Bees or the Zenith seed instantly tell friends what kind of world they are joining.

Practical labelling matters too. Players who keep separate worlds for building, boss arenas, AFK farms or fishing often put the purpose in the name so the list stays readable, and world names on multiplayer servers double as the server's brand. There is no need to overthink it, but a name with a bit of character makes a 200-hour save feel like a place rather than a file.
