SoundCloud rap names follow their own rules, and they are not the rules of mainstream hip-hop. Pun names like Nic O'Tine and Al Gorithm sit at the comedy end, and single coined words (Xylo, Nyxe, Sadderday) sit at the arty end, closer to Scandinavian cloud rap.

The names here are original and avoid existing artists, but the scene is huge and handles get taken fast, so search SoundCloud, Spotify and Instagram before you commit. A name that is unique enough to own the first page of search results is worth more than one that sounds slightly cooler.
