Nightsister Name Generator

The Nightsisters are the witch clans of Dathomir, a red-misted world in the Outer Rim where the Force is worked through spells, green ichor, and the spirits of the dead. Their names are short and hard, usually one to three syllables, with clipped consonants and open vowels: Talzin, Merrin, Karis, Kycina, Zalem, Naa'leth. The Clone Wars, Jedi: Fallen Order, and Ahsoka all keep this style, and the Great Mothers introduced in Ahsoka (Klothow, Aktropaw, Lakesis) add a heavier, more archaic sound that borrows from the Greek Fates.

Most Nightsisters use a single name. Titles carry the social structure instead — Mother for the clan's leader, Great Mother for the elders who commune with the dead, and Sister for everyone else. Asajj Ventress and Morgan Elsbeth are exceptions who picked up surnames after leaving Dathomir. Nightbrothers, the male Zabrak warriors bred to serve the sisters, are addressed as Brother and follow the same rules: Savage Opress, Feral, Viscus, Maul.

The list above blends canon names from film, animation, games, and Legends (Gethzerian, Silri, Charal, Baritha) with original names built on the same phonetics. Some use the glottal apostrophe you hear in Naa'leth, others use a two-part form like Vonnda Ra, and a block of titled names is included so you can drop a Mother or Great Mother straight into a Star Wars fan story or tabletop game.
