Necron Name Generator

Like ancient Egyptian filtered through metal. The named characters, Imotekh, Szarekh, Anrakyr, Zahndrekh, Orikan, Trazyn, Obyron and Szeras, combine Egyptian roots with hard consonant clusters (kh, sz, tz, dj) and endings such as -ekh, -akh, -yr and -yn. Dynasty names like Sautekh, Nihilakh and Novokh follow the same pattern.

Szarekh is the Silent King of the Triarch. A Phaeron (or Phaerakh if female) rules a dynasty, an Overlord rules a tomb world or region, a Nemesor commands armies and a Vargard guards a lord. Crypteks are Chronomancers, Plasmancers, Psychomancers or Technomancers, Destroyer cults are led by Lokhust, Skorpekh and Destroyer Lords, and the court includes Royal Wardens, Lychguard and Triarch Praetorians.

Pick a bare name from the list, add the rank that matches the model, and give it an epithet or a home once it has done something memorable: Overlord Tzaroth, Overlord Tzaroth the Patient, Overlord Tzaroth of Sarnekh. Pair the name with a dynasty (canon like Mephrit, or your own) and reuse the dynasty's sound across your Lords and Crypteks so the force feels like one court.

The canon characters included for reference are Szarekh, Imotekh, Trazyn, Orikan, Illuminor Szeras, Anrakyr, Zahndrekh, Obyron and a few from the Forge World and Black Library range such as Thaszar, Kutlakh, Toholk, Oltyx and Djoseras. Everything else is original and free to use for your own army, though you should check your tournament's rules on naming models after official characters.
