Jeep Name Generator

Jeep owners name their rigs more than almost any other drivers, and the names tend to come from four places: the paint, the trim, the terrain and a pun. Color drives the most common choices, and Jeep's own paint names give you a head start: a Hellayella or Punk'n Wrangler is practically named already, a Firecracker Red one becomes Cherry Bomb or Elmo, a Sting-Gray or Granite one turns into Shadow, Stealth or Ninja, and white Jeeps collect names like Yeti, Frosty and Sassy Squatch. Trim names do the same job, which is why so many Rubicons are called Rubi and so many Saharas are Sally.

Heritage names carry weight in the Jeep crowd. Willys, the General, Scout, Sarge and Olive Drab point back to the wartime MB and the CJs that followed, while Moab, Slickrock, Hells Revenge and Poison Spider are real trails in Utah that a built rig has earned the right to wear. Mechanical humor works too: Death Wobble, Beadlock Betty, Low Range Larry and Mall Crawler are jokes only another Jeeper will get, which is the whole point of the Jeep Wave.
