About invincible names
Invincible's naming is a deliberate throwback to Silver Age comics with a modern wink. Most codenames are one blunt word that describes the power or the promise: Invincible, Immortal, Bulletproof, Robot, Conquest, Titan, Giant. Next to those sit pun and portmanteau names that Kirkman and Cory Walker clearly enjoyed: Rex Splode, Dupli-Kate, Shrinking Rae, Atom Eve, Multi-Paul, Bi-Plane, Powerplex. Viltrumites are the other register. Their names are short, hard and slightly alien: Nolan, Thragg, Anissa, Lucan, Thula, Kregg, Ursaal, Onaan, Argall, Thaedus.
