Imperial Ship Name Generator

The Imperial Navy names its warships the way a dictatorship writes propaganda: one hard word that tells a planet what is about to happen to it. Canon Star Destroyers include Devastator, Avenger, Tyrant, Accuser, Adjudicator, Subjugator, Relentless, Vigilance, Chimaera, Lusankya and the flagship Executor. The pattern is an agent noun ending in -or or -er (Dominator, Interrogator, Eradicator), an unbending adjective (Implacable, Inexorable, Indomitable) or an abstract noun of authority (Retribution, Sovereignty, Supremacy). Interdictor cruisers take restraint names such as Constrainer and Compellor, and the rare two-word name is either a fist (Iron Fist, Death's Head) or a boast (Pride of Kuat, Emperor's Will).

The list mixes those canon hulls with original names built on the same logic, plus the secondary registers the Empire uses: galactic predators (Krayt, Rancor, Nexu, Vornskr), weapons and fortifications (Scimitar, Bastion, Glaive, Redoubt), storms (Thunderflare, Maelstrom, Firestorm) and High Galactic Latin-style names (Invictus, Imperious, Lex Imperialis) for Clone Wars-era relics and Inquisitorius vessels.

Size dictates grandeur. A Super Star Destroyer can be Executor or Eclipse; a Victory-class or a Raider corvette sounds right as Stalker, Adder or Dirk. Name the flagship first and let the rest of the fleet echo it.
