Geocache Name Generator

A good geocache name does two jobs at once: it makes a finder want to open the listing, and it quietly tells them something about the hide. Cache owners have a whole dialect to draw on, from container types (ammo can, bison tube, nano, Tupperware) to community slang such as muggles, GZ, FTF, DNF, BYOP and TFTC, and the best titles fold that language into a pun or a wink. The other strong pattern is the place-based name. A hide by a covered bridge, a stump, a tide pool or an old survey marker gets a title that nods to the spot (Behind the Falls, Kingfisher's Keep, Benchmark Bonus), which also helps a series hang together when you number it or give each stop a matching theme. Puzzle and mystery caches often carry names that are the first clue: Caesar Salad (Shift 3) or Binary Birdhouse tell the solver where to start.
