Business Blog Name Generator
Titles for company, founder and marketing blogs
Generate business blog names for company blogs, founder diaries, small-business advice and marketing blogs, such as The Founder's Desk, Shop Talk Journal and The Funnel Report. The list holds 1,000 titles, from plain professional names to phrase titles with a wink.
About business blog names
A business blog name has to work in three places at once: as a line in your site navigation, as the label on a link someone shares, and as a phrase a reader can say back a week later. Most names that manage it take one of a few shapes. A place in the business (The Founder's Desk, Behind the Label, From the Shop Floor) promises an inside view. A format word such as Journal, Playbook, Field Guide or Diaries tells readers whether to expect stories or instructions. A phrase title (Open for Business, Per My Last Post) carries a voice.
This list has 1,000 titles in fifteen groups: company and inside-the-brand blogs, founder and startup diaries, small-business and main-street advice, marketing and brand strategy, content and copywriting, search, email, social and analytics, sales, customer success and support, leadership and management, freelance and solo business, e-commerce, maker businesses, trade and industry insiders, plain professional names, and office wordplay. Marketing blogs get the largest share, about a fifth of the list.
The titles are phrased as blog names rather than podcast or newsletter names, and money and investing titles are left to the finance blog list. Treat each one as a starting point: search the name before you settle on it, and check the domain yourself.
How to choose business blog names
- Match the format word to what you publish. Playbook and Field Guide promise how-to posts, Diaries and Journal promise a story told over time, and a plain name such as The Brief suits short company updates.
- If the blog lives on a company site, test the name in the navigation next to Pricing and About. A short title such as Brand Bench fits a menu; a long phrase title may need to be the page heading only.
- Choose a name that survives a change of plan. Year One Diaries is dated after twelve months, while The Founder's Desk works for as long as there is a founder.
- Say what the reader gets in the tagline, not the name. 'Shop Talk Journal: plain advice for independent retailers' lets the title stay short and the subject stay clear.
- Before you commit, search the exact name with the word blog, look for businesses already using it in your field, and check the domain or the URL path you plan to use.
Frequently asked questions
What makes a good name for a business blog?
It should be short enough to sit in a menu, clear about who it is for, and easy to say aloud. Names that point at a place in the business, such as The Founder's Desk or Behind the Label, tell readers they are getting an inside view, while Small Shop Playbook signals practical advice.
Should a company blog have its own name or just be called Blog?
A plain Blog link is easier to find, and many companies stop there. A named blog helps when you want posts to be shared and remembered apart from the product, or when the blog covers a wider subject than the company. A common middle path is a named blog under a plain menu label.
Does this list have names for marketing blogs?
Yes. About a fifth of the 1,000 titles are for marketing, content, search, email and social media blogs, including The Funnel Report, Click & Convert, Hooks and Headlines and Clicks, Not Tricks. Sales and customer success blogs have their own groups.
Can I use one of these names for my own blog?
You can use any title here as a starting point. We have not checked whether a name is already in use, so search it, look at who is publishing under it in your field, and check the domain in your country before you launch.
