American Bully kennel names sound nothing like the Fernbrook and Windrush prefixes of the show-Labrador world. The breed grew out of 1990s American Pit Bull Terrier and AmStaff lines, and its culture borrowed from hip-hop, car clubs and streetwear, so the strongest kennel names are short, loud and confident: Boss Status, Concrete Jungle, Iron Throne. Spellings with a z (Bullyz, Kingz, Dawgz) are a genre signature, and terms like Bully Camp, Bully Co., House of and Team are used as often as the word Kennels.

Many kennels also signal what they produce. Class words such as Pocket, Micro, Standard, XL and Exotic tell buyers the size of the program, and color words like Tri, Merle, Lilac, Champagne, Blue Fawn and Ghost Tri advertise the coats a breeder specializes in. Structure slang (Widebody, Thick Bone, Clean Lines) shows you know the standard. Established bloodlines are often named after the founding kennel or dog, which is why a one-word prefix such as Ironclad or Thunderhead, paired with Bloodline or Line, reads as a future foundation program.

Because your kennel name becomes the prefix on every registered pup, keep it short enough to fit in front of a call name on ABKC or UKC paperwork, and make sure it is not already in use by another breeder.
