Blue Lock Name Generator
Striker names for Blue Lock OCs, teams and fanfiction
Generate Blue Lock names in the style of Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura's egoist striker manga: canon characters from Isagi and Bachira to Rin, Kaiser and Noa, the Neo Egoist League clubs, plus hundreds of original Japanese and overseas striker names for OCs, fanfiction and your own Team Z.
About Blue Lock names
Blue Lock names are built to be shouted across a pitch. Kaneshiro gives his strikers given names with rare, punchy readings (Meguru, Seishiro, Hyoma, Zantetsu) and surnames that hint at how the player plays: Chigiri's name means "tear apart" and he has the fastest legs in the facility, Baro is written with the kanji for horse and wolf and plays like a king, Raichi's surname carries the character for thunder, and Nagi ("calm") is the lazy genius who barely moves until the ball arrives. Japanese puts the surname first (Isagi Yoichi), but English-speaking fandom writes given name first, the order used here.
The overseas cast follows a different rule. Michael Kaiser, Alexis Ness, Noel Noa, Julian Loki, Marc Snuffy and Don Lorenzo are Western names pushed one notch past realistic, so they sound like brands as much as people, and the Neo Egoist League clubs are thin puns on real teams: Bastard München, Manshine City, Ubers, FC Barcha and PXG, with Sae Itoshi's Spanish club Re Al cut from the same cloth.
This generator mixes canon characters and clubs for reference with original names written to the same rules: Japanese strikers with meaningful-sounding surnames, female OCs for staff and support cast, European and Brazilian names for NEL-style clubs, and school and club names for a league of your own.
How to choose Blue Lock names
- Pick the surname for its sound and image first, then the given name. Blue Lock surnames like Isagi, Kunigami and Yukimiya are two to four syllables with a hard consonant in the middle; avoid the very common Sato, Suzuki and Tanaka unless the plainness is the point.
- Match an OC's name to the club. A Bastard München striker should sound German (Lennart Kessler), a Barcha or Re Al player Spanish (Iker Solano), a Manshine player English (Callum Whitaker), an Ubers player Italian (Matteo Ferri) and a PXG player French (Théo Lacroix).
- Give the character a weapon-style nickname the way the series does (the Genius, the King, the Wild Card) rather than a second surname; one epithet is enough and it should describe a single trait.
- Use given-name-first order (Yoichi Isagi) for English fanfiction and fan art, and surname-first (Isagi Yoichi) if you are imitating the manga's Japanese text or roster screens. Be consistent within one work.
- Keep canon family names such as Itoshi and Mikage for characters who are actually related to Rin, Sae or Reo; a random OC called Itoshi will read as a self-insert sibling.
Frequently asked questions
What are the main Blue Lock character names?
The core cast is Yoichi Isagi, Meguru Bachira, Rensuke Kunigami, Hyoma Chigiri, Seishiro Nagi, Reo Mikage, Rin Itoshi, Shoei Baro and the project's creator Jinpachi Ego with manager Anri Teieri. Other key names include Sae Itoshi, Ryusei Shidou, Tabito Karasu, Eita Otoya, Kenyu Yukimiya, Oliver Aiku, Shuto Sendo, Aoshi Tokimitsu, Gin Gagamaru, Jingo Raichi, Yo Hiori, Ranze Kurona, Nijiro Nanase and Jin Kiyora, plus the foreign stars Michael Kaiser, Alexis Ness, Noel Noa, Julian Loki, Marc Snuffy, Don Lorenzo, Lavinho and Chris Prince.
How do I make a Blue Lock OC name that sounds authentic?
Choose an uncommon but real-sounding surname of two to four syllables, ideally one whose kanji could describe the player's style (something meaning storm, blade, thunder, shadow or calm), then pair it with a short given name that has a sharp or unusual reading. Kaito Shiranui, Zen Hayabusa and Ryunosuke Shimotsuki all follow the pattern. Avoid names lifted from other anime, which break the illusion immediately.
What are the Neo Egoist League teams in Blue Lock?
The five clubs in the Neo Egoist League arc are Bastard München (coached by Noel Noa), Manshine City (Chris Prince), Ubers (Marc Snuffy), Paris X Gen or PXG (Julian Loki) and FC Barcha (Lavinho). Each is a pun on a real European club, which is a good model for inventing your own: change one or two letters of a famous name so it is recognisable but not real.
Can I use these names for fanfiction or my own soccer story?
The original names, clubs and schools in this generator are free to use. Canon characters, clubs and terms belong to Blue Lock's creators and publisher and are listed for reference; they are fine for fanfiction and fan art but should be avoided in original published work.
