Water park names follow a surprisingly consistent formula in the real industry. Look at any list of parks and you will see the same building blocks: a splash word (Splash, Soak, Wave, Rapids, Falls, Plunge, Tide) joined to a place word (Bay, Cove, Lagoon, Harbor, Island, Kingdom, Country, City). Big regional parks tend to pick a theme and commit to it, so you get pirate lagoons, lost jungle rivers, tropical islands, and, for indoor resorts in cold climates, playful polar and lodge themes that make the warm water feel like a getaway.

The best names are loud, short, and easy for a kid to shout across a parking lot. Alliteration and hard consonants help (Cowabunga Bay, Buccaneer Bay, Splash Kingdom), and so do compound coinages like Aquatopia or SplashTown that read as one brand rather than a description. Names that sound like a warning, such as Riptide, Undertow, or Cyclone, are common for thrill-heavy parks, while splash pads and toddler areas go softer with Puddle Jumpers, Turtle Cove, or Frog Pond.
